Product Descriptions:

Acacia Nilotica belongs to the Fabales order and the Fabaceae family.
The colour of acacia brown is obtained by grinding the bark of the tree acacia nilotica. Acacia brown dye contains a brown tannin called catechu tannic acid, which is insoluble in cold water. When used in pure form, it produces very small colourless crystals. When these crystals absorb oxygen, they turn yellow, then red, and finally black. By-products of grinded barks are used in the leather industry, providing high durability and tensile strength. In addition to the bark of Acacia Nilotica, the Acacia Nilotica contains a gum that is popularly known as Babul Gum and is used as a key ingredient in medicine, silk screen printing, digital screen printing, and many adhesives. The leaves and fruits of the plant are rich in tannin and gallic acid. It shows good fastness on cotton, woolen and silk fabrics.
